A history of growth built on satisfaction
The CSI Companies’ story is one of organic growth built on a solid foundation of industry expertise, an eye for opportunity, and an unshakable belief that satisfied clients and candidates are the primary drivers of success.
Our company was born in 1994 when a small group of professionals formed CSI Staffing Co. to provide clerical staffing support to a limited number of clients. As these relationships developed and strengthened, our clients asked us to expand our services. Their growing demand for IT, executive search, and healthcare support talent led us to create lines of business tailored to each of these needs.
As our service offerings grew, so did our footprint. Expansions to Dallas, Charlotte, Nashville, and Ft. Lauderdale fueled a period of strong growth from 2005 to 2007. When the financial services sector — one of our key client industries — experienced a downturn at the end of the decade, we were well-positioned to capitalize on growth in healthcare and IT. During this time, CSI Healthcare IT was founded, and our organization took on its current four-division structure of CSI Professional, CSI Search, CSI Tech, and CSI Healthcare IT.
Selected by Recruit, a leading global staffing firm
One of the most-gratifying testaments to our company’s success was our selection by Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd., to become part of the fourth-largest staffing company in the world. Looking to enter the U.S. market for the first time, Japan-based Recruit performed an extensive and thorough evaluation of more than 100 American staffing firms before deciding on The CSI Companies in August 2010.
Upon announcing the transaction, Hitoshi Motohara, senior vice president of Recruit and new CSI chairman, said, “It was clear that CSI’s strong current management team, existing client relationships, and diversity of services exceeded all other firms we reviewed.”
Continued growth and success
Benefitting from Recruit’s global perspective and resources, CSI has continued its impressive growth, with a 2010-2012 revenue increase of more than 140 percent. Read more about CSI’s 2011 results. Today, The CSI Companies is ranked well above industry standards in independent surveys measuring “likelihood to recommend CSI to friends or colleagues.” See our official Client and Talent satisfaction results.
In September 2013, CSI made its first acquisition when they purchased Anteo Group, one of the top IT firms in the Atlanta area. Read more here.
By adhering to our founding principles and continuously evolving by listening and responding to our clients’ needs, The CSI Companies has built a foundation that will carry us to future success.
